My baking journey started with a request for my special red velvet cake. After the dessert became increasingly popular in my community, neighborhood, and city I decided to expand my menu.
Later, I learned that a well-known bookstore was looking for a restaurant to occupy their café area. They were happy to rent to me. Together my family and I turned the spot into B Sharp Café, with a full menu and my baked goods at the forefront. It was incredibly successful with a line out the door and my name in the newspaper featuring (you guessed it) my red velvet cake!
The bookstore fell into financial difficulties, so unfortunately, because we were inside the establishment we had to close as well. But, that didn’t stop us from flourishing. The demand for my homemade bakery was still high, so we began to sell on holidays to continue satisfying our customers.
We relocated to Arizona and I’ve proudly rebuilt my business; I am now operating from my very own food truck!
